Teratogenic effects of diazinon were assessed or acetylcholine(AchE) activities.
Diazinon at doses ranging from 50, 100, 200§¶/egg was injected into chick embryos 3 day of incubation and enzyme activities in hindlimbs, wing, and brain were measured on 6 - 20 days of incubation.
Injection of diazinon into chick embryos significantly impaired embryonic growth such as contortion and shortening of the axial skeleton, panic=Mary in the cervical region.
An injection of diazinon at doses of 200§¶ per egg, AchE activity was inhibited about 85 at days 6-8, about 50% at day 13, and not at all at, day 20.
In the present study, we confirm that the cholinergic dysfunction does not temporally correlate with type I teratogenice effects.
